Here I am again, this time writing about the first of our celebrations. The Sunday Club decided that we should have one last bash before we leave so we organised a BBQ for the back laners on August Bank Holiday Sunday. Having experienced 'mixed' weather over the summer we were lucky to enjoy sunny (although not very warm) conditions! At least we were not rained off like the August Bank Holiday camping expedition a few years ago!!! A good turn out and fabulous food made for an excellent evening.
Here are the boys doing their stuff, note the glass of wine in hand! It must have helped them to cook up a fine feast!

The kids enjoyed the water bomb fight all ending up very wet and cold.
All in all a fine start to the holiday season.

Hi there - very impressed with your blogging - we never did master it.
D day for you is fast approaching. Let us know when and where you are and will be. We leave for NZ on 1st Jan for 3 weeks but apart from that we are no further forward in our plans.
The backyard bash sounds like fun - wish we could have joined you but hopefully lots more barbies to come Anzac style.
You lot don’t waste anytime! From your impressive site it looks like the Wordies have been out in NZ for years. Or is that just Claire being a girlie swot. Just wait until you start work and see if you find the time. Anyway I’m just jealous that I can’t get my finger out and do something like that. Soon! I promise you.
Neil – it looks like there are more Blackburn fans in Wellington than back at home. Can you get Foxtel? It’s gr8. Haven’t missed an Everton game since we landed in Oz.
Keep up the good work & I will give you the low-down of the Maca’s adventures in the bush soon. Moving into our own place on Jan 19th, can’t wait. Have a good Chrimbo and a Sound New Year.
