Here we are in Downtown Papamoa, nr Tauranga, Bay of Plenty (east coat of the North Island, approx 2 hours south east of Auckland)
Do you like the car? Did some seriuos haggling for it....what a beaut!
Having arrived in NZ on the 31st of October after 4 fantastic weeks of doing very little, it was time to knuckle down and find a job...which i duelly did! Not the ideal job (in stainless steel again!) but with fantastic opportunities in the area we want.....near a beach! So here goes for early Jan'08....will the Kiwis ever be the same again???
Since we have departed Aucklands shores, we have had some great weather...check out the Back lane re-union photo!
Had a great time at the Ball household...even though Bev is on just one glass of Vino a month!
A night out with Nige at the Kiwi equivelant of 'PHOENIX NIGHTS' was an eye opener!!!!!
Off we soon went on our merry way, looking for a new home in the Bay of Plenty. Our dream home by a beach is looking quite expensive, other options are Bethlehem or Judea.......but will I ever be able to read the thousands of sarcastic emails eminating from the UK again???
Not much time left on this dark ages internet thingie we are on. Just a few photos below of the kids enjoying themselves. The race is at Cambridge (where Nige, Bev & Georgia live) on the Armistice Celebration day
Take care for now, must go and look at some schools, houses etc....but not in Bethlehem!
Senior Wordy signing out!

Welcome to the Antipodes!
We hope to see you there between 21st Jan when we arrive in Wellington and 25th Jan when we leave from Auckland to Perth.Between 2nd and 21 Jan we will be touring around the South Island. We will be eagerlywatching your blog to see what you're up to. Progress so far looks good but can't tellwhether the house or the car is the more comfortable dwelling!
Hi Thomas,
Having a good time in NZ? Got a Nintendo DS for my birthday and have got 4 games. My favourite is Worms Open Warfare 2. Played at Teddys yesterday. See you soon on the blog!
Harry
PS My mum says hello to you all. Winter here. Walked to school and it was -2 this morning!!
Tomas' firework display easily surpasses the one at your leaving do where we all waited outside for half an hour in anticipation .
Max's rovers shirt could do with a wash he's had it on since you flew out.
Good to see Max and Tom have already mastered the art of outdoor survival by building a den out of a few pallets and a sheet of corrugated iron.
Hi Clare,
Not making us at all jealous you know.
Much prefer the cold and rain as you well know, without it you don't get the right sort of mud.
Just to make you really miss the place just thought I'd tell you we have resurrected the head torch runs on the moors. Cross country this weekend too, now that should be good and muddy.
Anyway, keep having fun (as if you need any encouragement).
Rebecca
dear max and tom,I want to say thank you for your blogger news report. I wanted to know what you were up to! I think New Zealand looks like a really good place and I want to go there some time. Soon our Grandma Susan will be coming up to our house and we will have the best of times. I'll be waiting for your next report. Want to know what your doing. See you for now. Ted
Hello Max & Tom - Your Grandma gave us your old Go Kart and I would really enjoy driving it if Teddy would only let me have a go! Miss you both. Love Alex
Hiya Clare - the Sunday Club is dwindling fast but we're trying to recruit new members. We're about to book the Xmas meal at the Butlers for the 'Ladies' of Pleasington. Looking foward to the next chapter....Love and best wishes Kay
