So here we are again.....Everything still blue....well, except Clares sceptic finger which was decidedly GREEN / RED and three times its normal size....that's until the Doc cut it open. Could have done with more dressing for the $100 for medical expences!!! Plus $8000 for the huge ice cream!!! Well actually, $2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For those living still in the winter of the northern hemisphere, you'll be glad to know that the summer here is now coming to a close and evening temperatures are now 10 degrees C....which seems to be a warm day in Blackburn at present! The blue skies continue during the day with temperatures still in the twenties.
So what have we been upto I hear you all ask....well not on the blog comments you don't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last dip in the sea was celebrated with us by the BALLIES from Chorley....now Cambridge NZ. Nige has got a new bird...spitting image of Bev....but half the size! Nigel, Georgia and us boys braved the waters to body board etc We won't mention that the WORDIES did not win the beach boulles competition....we're still smarting!! Good to see the Ball family all looking well and enjoying life.
The boys seem quite settled now. Max seems to be flourishing at sport, winning the surf life saving club championship in his first encounter with it. Pity they moved the presentation to the Saturday, clashing with his cricket! So if you ever need saving from the surf and a cricketer walks by....your OK! This has spurred him onto winter training in the pool. I wish I could swim minimum 2500m a session 3 times a week!!!!!!!! Time to hang the trunks up when your 9 year old can swim faster than you!!!! Still, I can manage to beat Tom....just!

The boys are both into junior water polo and looking very accomplished for novices. They both have finals this weekend which should be a rowdy affair! The parents get very excited, screeming at the kids....but not me! I'm too busy scrapping with the 11 year old ref!

Pictured above are the boys with new haircuts and colouring. Tom was dragged to the scouser barbers by a team of wild horses...they must have been Everton fans judging by the colour.
Toms screen saver is pictured left.....Was I really captain underpants once?
AND FINALLY....BLUE SKY taken 11/04/2008 Let's hope the weather continues until Mrs E arrives in May....24 days and counting!!!

Spring is evident on the back lane. Even Harry, Teddy and Alex were spotted playing out yesterday instead of plugged into the play station/Nintendo Wii. You will be glad to hear that Sunday Club is planning a Spring meeting tonight. All the rest of my family are glued to the telly watching the London marathon and trying to spot Norma Smith - another annual Spring endeavour. No sign yet. Word not yet reached us about Clare's finger but will I'm sure find out soon. You'll be glad to hear that the magnolia is in bloom but slightly frost tinged following the return of winter last week. Enjoy the skiing!!
Well it was great to see you Wordies and see the boys in action at Flippaball. Not sure which was the most impressive, the boys - or the decibels emitting from Mr Wordie senior as self appointed coach!! So when is Clare's amputation booked in for - as soon as you;ve raised the $5000 to pay for it- that'll teach you to garden Claribel! What a change in the weather now eh? Rain, rain rain- but boy do we need in here in the Waikato. Good to see form Sue that Sunday Club is still going, albeit intermittently, I hope one day we can re-convene down-under, that would be a blast wouldn't it!! Better go - the gym beckons ( !!!????!!!!)
see ya soon,
Mrs CB
